Spreading the Word: Media, Books & Recognition

Around 2012:

I launched our very first internet website to begin digitizing our findings and connecting with descendants worldwide.

The Power of the Press: During the foundational years of the project, Kristina, a dedicated reporter for the local newspaper Santaka, became a crucial ally, writing numerous articles that brought our work to the local community.

Major Publications & The Story of Antanas

Our historical findings weren't meant to sit in archive boxes; they needed to be read.

2008 | The First Feature: Algis, a prominent reporter, published a major article about my work in the national newspaper Lietuvos rytas, putting our project on the map.

2011 | The Pamphlets: Antanas, the esteemed Director of the local Vilkaviškis Museum, published three historical pamphlets dedicated to Jewish Vilkaviškis.

2015 | "Traces of a Lost Nation" (Lithuanian): Through a successful crowdfunding campaign, we published the Lithuanian edition of Antanas's seminal book, Traces of a Lost Nation.

2017 | Expanding Internationally: We successfully published and distributed the English version of Traces of a Lost Nation, allowing descendants globally to read their ancestors' history.

Vilkaviškis on Screen & Airwaves

2016 | The Documentary: We produced a dedicated movie about Jewish Vilkaviškis in the Lithuanian language, ensuring the visual memory of the town was secured for future generations.

2019 | National Television: Irma and I were interviewed on Lithuanian National Television to speak about the project and the deep history of Jewish Vilkaviškis.
